Custom Sewing just for you

I have always enjoyed sewing but it was always more of a hobby then a job. I went to college and received a degree in Forsensic Science. However when I graduated there were no open jobs available in my state. To get a job would have required us to move 4 states away and at the time with a small step daughter at home it just wasn't possible. So I took the first job that came along and put that dream on hold. I got married 5 weeks after graduating and a few years later we had our first child, a baby boy named Anthony Peter - both family names. Peter is my dad's name as well as my brothers. However my brother passed away in 2002 from heart complications. He was 13 years old.

My Aunt is obsessed with giving every child born in our family a nickname. The nickname that she had given my brother was Bud. So, with great pride on my son's birth, she announced that he was officially dubbed - Tony Bud.

3 months after our son was born my husband had back surgery and in the process lost his job. This just happened to fall right at the same time that we were struggling financially. I was telling my neighbor about the job situation and she brought up the fact that she needed someone to make cushions for her patio set and would I be willing to make them for her. I agreed not a problem, not ever expecting to be paid. When she did pay me the light bulb came on... I could turn what was once a hobby into a business.

Another year went by and business was slow. My husband was back working but we were still struggling. I started advertising locally and business started booming. We started doing craft shows as well. it was at one of these show that the name came about. Someone asked me if I had business cards which I did not. Then they asked what the name was. My husband and I looked at each other and at the same time said Tony Bud's Sewing. The name stuck!

Now, 2.5 years later, and 3 boys later (yes 3 boys!!!!) we have taken Tony Bud's from a small local alteration/repair shop to a full blown seamstress shop. We still do repairs/alterations but also speicailize in custom clothing, window treatments, coats, wedding dresses, men's and women's wear, crib sets, cushions, and anything else that you can think of!

I take great pride in my family and when you order something from TBS, you become a part of our family. I treat each item as if I was making it for my own family member.

I so very much look forward to working with you and helping your turn your dream into reality! There is nothing that I can't do (well I am sure there is something out there but I haven't come across anything yet).

I can't wait to meet you and to start working with you!

On behalf of TBS, welcome and thank you!!
